Not exactly a soup question, now is it?

"Not exactly a soup question,now is it?"..is one of the few memorable dialogues in the movie Finding forrester which i watched today.

Brilliantly directed by Gus Van Sant [of`Good Will Hunting' fame] the movie is about two writers,an upcoming afro-american teen[played by Rob Brown] and a famous reclusive writer [by played Sean Connery] who help each other in realizing their true self.It succeeds coz of its good screenplay and the human touch the director renders to the characters in the movie.[Wont be revealing the plot here]
This is one of those few movies which succeed in grabbing your attention right from the beginning and i rated it 9/10 in imdb....do watch it and just dont miss this great piece of art!!...

Bucket list...

these are my to do lists for the present holidays......

1) read at least 3 novels..it seems pretty easy but considering my reading frequency its quite a huge task[this blogging and net has vastly affected my old reading habit]

2) get gprs activated on my cell...

3) visit my native places..wont be getting this opportunity again once my internship starts

4) finish watching Dr house,Dexter[s03] and 21/2 men series...

5) start jogging[still haven't!]

myself and 3 of my friends visited the 46th national conference of India Academy of pediatrics....today was the 3rd day.
We got to see many new and latest drug displays along withthe latest upcoming technologies in the field.

As part of the conference a quiz show[all India Finale] was conducted[for UGs] in which our college[BMCRI] came second.Congratulations guys!!...[Banaras Hindu University students came first]

then we went to a nearby snack center where we satisfied our insatiable satiety center and then finally had some cotton candy[am having this after almost 10 yrs!]

its such a relief after having completed my final yr exams...time to party[am a teetotaler!]:P!!

p.s-last time i was in this state was after my 12th exams.

still 2 more pracs to go...obg and med...first 2 were quite easy[surgery and paeds]...

it was really a learning experience in pediatrics...my first case was a 3 yr old normal baby..its father was just 21 yrs old[that makes him younger than me!!!] and it was his 2nd child[first one had died immediately after birth due to low birth weight-800gms!!]....this made me wonder whether all the health schemes and health promotion ads which the government promotes really benefits these poor people!!

my theory exams[yeah final yr medical exams!] got over just yesterday....52 weeks of final yr were decided in just 9 days...hope the results will be good.....now its time for practicals[from 17th]....4 days of drilling,torture and harassment by examiners!...

p.s-this time our external examiners are from Tamilnadu..hope they don't hold any personal grudge against us[u know the reason!]

watching 2 of them getting debarred in university exams for copying today was quite an eye opening and interesting experience today...!!

after 3 back to back exams[paeds,med 1&2] was quite stressed out yesterday...today that stress is back since i have to complete surgery1 and orthopedics in a day!!....[shdnt have killed time yesterday night]
