with aiims exam nearby [this sunday] i shd be totally into books now which unfortunately am not [regret about this every minute]...sometimes i totally loose motivation [also the opposite] and end up watching movies,browsing etc...[almost 31/2 movies in 4 days]

this summer heat is really making me addicted to ice-creams...almost every alternate day i eat one and luckily havent fallen sick yet.[really miss those lollies which i used to have during my school days]

watched Talladega nights yesterday...with Will Ferrell in it as a driver who grows up becoming a driver.Thoroughly enjoyed it [being his fan] with its silly humor and good storyline.

More i read psychiatry the more i think am having hypochondriasis[especially bipolar disorder]....may be am too much into the subj and some self evaluation.

finally have got all my graduation snaps..totally love them and will always cherish that day.Only regret is that i havent taken any snap together with my best friend [since ukg we are together].We were so involved during that event that neither of us realized wht we were missing.

watched Oye lucky lucky oye movie yesterday-a simple,so well narrated script with humor of utmost quality and the still photographs used in the movie was something new to bwood[like in Hwood] which suited the script perfectly.Abhay in the role of a charismatic brilliant thief was just perfect[like his Deol cousins].

life in pavgada

finally am back from Pavgada[my present rural posting] after one full week duty...life was definitely good there but i missed my home there and now an happy to be back home[till sunday]..

its one of those few places which u instantly like and its a nice combination of work,enjoyment and studies...

we just manage odp work there[9 to 4 daily].Only 2 types of patients come here Tb or no Tb...here both DOTS treatment[for tb] ICTC[for Aids] and Mdt for Leprosy are provided for free of cost, hence u get to see quite a lot of such cases

most of the time we used to either study or watch tv....but sometimes u get bored doing this and for a change used to roam around the town in the evenings..

The "Last Lecture"

Randolph Frederick Pausch^[3] (October 23, 1960 – July 25, 2008) was an American professor of computer science and human-computer interaction and design at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Pausch learned that he had pancreatic cancer, a terminal illness, in September of 2006. He gave an upbeat and adage-laden lecture entitled "The Last Lecture: Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams" on September 18, 2007 at Carnegie Mellon, which became a popular YouTube video and led to other media appearances. He then co-authored a book called The Last Lecture on the same theme, which became a New York Times best-seller. Pausch died of complications from pancreatic cancer on July 25, 2008.

p.s-shifting to orthopedics from Monday..bye-bye to the cute kids i have come across in paeds...will really miss them there!...its so much fun interacting with those innocent minds and scaring them for an injection;)[sorry kids!!]

real life scenarios

a 4month old pregnant lady of 23 yrs comes for a regular check up at our ANC clinic and when advised to undergo a USg scan at our center says she wants to do it outside somewhere in a private clinic reason being[when asked the reason by me] she wants to know the gender!!....she already has a 3 yr old daughter.

today during CNAA survey on equiring about his childrens age a father of four replies "8,6,4 and 2"....guess he has worked out his math very well!..lol

2-atlast one of our Bp apparatus is working!!....some thing to cheer abt:P

3-my close senior friend had his graduation today..my hearty congratulations to him.[i will be in his shoes next yr:)]

4-finally met the stygian sailor[kafta cafe blog] who is my senior[by 2 yrs] in the college...really cool guy indeed:)[@ sailor.. its not a flattery!!]

Bucket list...

these are my to do lists for the present holidays......

1) read at least 3 novels..it seems pretty easy but considering my reading frequency its quite a huge task[this blogging and net has vastly affected my old reading habit]

2) get gprs activated on my cell...

3) visit my native places..wont be getting this opportunity again once my internship starts

4) finish watching Dr house,Dexter[s03] and 21/2 men series...

5) start jogging[still haven't!]

Delivery vs Engagement

Mechanism of delivery of a baby can always be compared to a girls Engagement[in India!]...
