Cancer...

One of my ug (undergraduate) classmate(a gd frnd ) is having NHL (blood cancer in layman's language) and i got this sad news just today...he is on chemotherapy and needs immediate bmt (bone marrow transplant).
so many cancers we doctors come across each day but when this happens to our closed ones only we understand how devastating it is both psychologically and financially.....only thing i can do is sincerely pray  and give some financial help....hope he gets well soon.

Mysore...

In mysore now....yesterday had been to palace and krs dam...city is nice with a heritage lk ....good weather with friendly people...today we have planned short rd trip to nearby places..

To mysore finally...to meet  my ug buddies...after 18months....hope i enjoy the day there

break..

finally ward rotation over[after 4 months]..in periphery now....Radiotherapy division....department is pretty cool with very little work...just 10 to 1pm job.
          Then off to bangalore tonight....this will be my first travel in my state's travel bus[hugely popular airavat club class]..though quite expensive i hope its worth it...from there will be leaving to mysore for a  day from bangalore tomorrow morning....just a short trip to visit my old friends.

Duty

Duty .fr next 2 days....luckily not much cases today....just few ward calls....hope i get sufficient sleep today since have a short presentation tomorrow....

hate my life....

another weekend  ends..2 presentations,grand round,2 night duties in next 4 days......feeling stressed already....
p.s-
luckily have to sustain this drill only till this month end coz from next month am in periphery[posted out of the department] for 15 days.....

Sleep

After 5 days of continuous duties....finally a free day for myself....thought Wil have a good night rest today...but it's 1 am now and am still awake....

3days continuous duties...there goes my extended weekend...:-@

Depressed...

In ward again fr the next 15 days of my life....same old routine of running behind patients for blood,shity mucous,reports and breaking Ur head for non curable diseases.....being a pg u unknowingly learn to multitask ....except door -rooms cleaning and giving bath think have done almost all class 4 labour work.....
All in the name of the degree we get in the end.....M.D!

Independent

Independence day....today is a free day for me....that means no morning rounds or casualty calls....got up early...went for a beach walk...and a coffee at a nearby place.....

life..

life is hectic as a JR [junior resident]...

duty[every 3 days],wards,irritating patients,communication problem,homesickness.....all these drive me really crazy sometimes.....sometimes i feel why did i land up here..kahte hain na 'shaadi ka ladoo hai aisa Jo na khaye who pachtaye, Khaane wala bhi Pachtaye'...but that is life i guess..u have to face it....just 3 yrs and may be one yr as a SR [senior resident] and am done with this place...

p.s-

1-still havent bought the watch i want to- 'casio edifice'...

and planning to buy one good 250cc bike in the near future...hm...so much to plan for..

2-good old frnds r really hard to find...am lucky that i have such kinds even now..:)

3-one of my childhood frnd [neighbor] got murdered recently...though he was just a frnd to me i had quite a few nice childhood memories with him which are priceless

duty + colleague's birthday party + duty = shivratri......in short i managed to wake up for the first time for this festive occasion :D

2 weeks of peripheral postings and am loving it ....no wards or opds...just some night duties.......nw all i do is just sleep,eat [try every new eatoutlet nearby] and browse net in mobile [during duty hours]....

shd plan something nice this weekend..hmm....may be some small rd trip or a movie...

any case which gets dumped in your department [as PTB-Pulmonary tuberculosis] and which turns out to be not so always prove it before doing the same towards other department...

6 duties in 11 days....time to celebrate Diwali with poor[and idiotic] patients/irritating sisters.......:(

good 'old' days....

@ home after such a long time...for 3 days...

bengaluru was the city i grew up,had most of my education and place where most of my childhood memories are associated with....days where we used to go to school in cycles,a single poppins was everthing,had to save money for days to get a single cooldrink [pepsi/coke then were like amrutham],many big fights with bros,celebrating all the festivals together...

but now after joining my pg in pondicherry i badly miss all these...i miss fighting with my twin,ammas morning coffee,evening chat shop visits,feeding street dogs here etc..[list goes on]...

time passes away and life moves on but leaves a hundred memories to be cherished upon.....

p.s-

my turn to tc of my parents now and try to be a good son to them...

my every visit to this city now makes me nostalgic...

finally

finally thesis protocol submission is coming to an end...days of brain eating[by HOD} , late nights net search ,running behind profs for simple queries are all over.....in few days will be submitting it.

retrospection

Falling sick all of a sudden and taking a leave for the day gives you a rare much needed  opportunity for self retrospection.....

Daily routine of getting up early,OPD,ward rounds,patients sometimes doesn't give you much time for yourself.

Today i had this rare chance...a whole day for myself...where i could just be myself....relax a bit,sleep a lot,think about my past,call some old friends and relive your good old past memories......

p.s-

time for me to reschedule my things more efficiently now....frankly i must say tht poor planning and laziness are turning out to be the reasons why am not as good as expected[by myself] in my work and have to work towards them...
