nothing to some thing

my results were just out now[final yr]....i passed!!!!....its party time guys!!!:)....finally have achieved some thing in life...

its such a relief after having completed my final yr exams...time to party[am a teetotaler!]:P!!

p.s-last time i was in this state was after my 12th exams.

MB-bs

still 2 more pracs to go...obg and med...first 2 were quite easy[surgery and paeds]...

it was really a learning experience in pediatrics...my first case was a 3 yr old normal baby..its father was just 21 yrs old[that makes him younger than me!!!] and it was his 2nd child[first one had died immediately after birth due to low birth weight-800gms!!]....this made me wonder whether all the health schemes and health promotion ads which the government promotes really benefits these poor people!!

my theory exams[yeah final yr medical exams!] got over just yesterday....52 weeks of final yr were decided in just 9 days...hope the results will be good.....now its time for practicals[from 17th]....4 days of drilling,torture and harassment by examiners!...

p.s-this time our external examiners are from Tamilnadu..hope they don't hold any personal grudge against us[u know the reason!]

watching 2 of them getting debarred in university exams for copying today was quite an eye opening and interesting experience today...!!

ramblings

after 3 back to back exams[paeds,med 1&2] was quite stressed out yesterday...today that stress is back since i have to complete surgery1 and orthopedics in a day!!....[shdnt have killed time yesterday night]

2 over[paeds and med-1],5 more to go.....

Another year goes by

Another year goes by,only 1 day until a new year begins and now is the right time to reflect on the passing year.

There have been many high and few low points[which am not going to cribble abt and write here] and would like to share some of them with you guys....

Highs
1) icmr project-this year got my recognition certificate for the completion of the ICMR project in Pathology,it was really a very nice eye opening learning experience working with our hospital's best pathologists and the patients together.

2) learning medicine-only after coming into the final i really realized and learned the art of med,its highs and lows,minute and the ability to diagnose diseases from the patients[they are the ones who really teach u!]..as Voltaire had once said "the art of medicine consists in amusing the patient while nature cures the disease"...hope some day very soon i get this wisdom:)

3) blogging-this was my first yr into blogging and i enjoyed it and am happy to have made so many good friends.

some of my so called "Resolutions" for the coming year-
1)start preparing for pg entrance exams as soon as i get into internship[this is a must!]
2)continue with my jogging once again
3)learn from my internship as much as possible
hope i do them sincerely

p.s-my final year exams are from 5th to 13th jan-7 papers in 9 days..until then this blog will be inactive:)

Mugging?!

its time to study the doses,indications and side effects of all the important commonly used drugs[part of the med syllabus].There are about 50-75 such drugs.
hope i apply my mugging skills and creativity to its best use :)

this is one book which every exam going student shd have with out which passing the exam is impossible....its the "Bible" for the students for exams......

even a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step

study holidays for the exams have just started this week and am all geared up for that....
now have exactly 32 more days for the preparation and am hoping to utilize it as efficiently as possible[this time have to prepare for both pracs and theory unlike in previous yrs]...have started with surgery and still have 3k pages to go[including other subjects]....
wish me good luck guys:)...really need it this time!!...

p.s-
have decided to cut down on my browsing and will not be visiting other blogs quite frequently as before but will try to visit them when ever possible....:)
