my eyes on them.

In this exam heat i somehow managed to get hold of these BBC SH series. Pure enjoyment and joy for a SH fan these are. Storyline for these series have been taken from the original short stories by Sir Doyle. Am into 2nd season now and one interesting thing i have observed is the watch he wears in this show. Its rotary classic watch. Its simple and sleek with a professional look. My eyes are set on them and its time i guess for me to coax my 'dear' brothers or friends staying abroad to get me this.

Watchporn...

My watch collection.
Some of the watches am using right now in Pondy(few more in Bangalore). Just love them.
Each of these were either gifted or borrowed from my loved ones. A raft of good memories associated with them which I value a lot.

P.s-
My dream is to go like these to the opd once.wonder what those patients will think of me.

Lost a companion...

I was in final year mbbs(2008) that surprisingly my elder brother gifted me my first mobile..n72.
frankly it was a dream come true for me.n series were a big craze then and I still remember how people used to vouch for these n95 phones like iPhone these days.
Games, songs or taking snaps.I did everything possible with it and I must tell that till date all my cherished moments were captured in this mobile(internship, graduation,).
Today after listening to the news of ms buying Nokia permanently almost broke my heart.the brand I used to associate with will be no more and the company which was once leading in the market will be completely wiped out of the stores.my n72 is still working (and i still love it)and hope it stays that way for few more years to come.

P.s-
This Nokia episode just shows how selfish a generation can be.a company which was once loved was completely betrayed by its loyal fans just because it didn't match the technology and was not given enough time for a comeback.

Toy shop..

Had been to madras for some personal work.it was just for a day.
stayed at my aunts place and roamed around a bit visiting some nearby maals.dresses or any electronic gadgets never draw my attention but every time when i enter a good pen shop(Williams pen showroom) I get this childish enthusiasm and happiness.I look at them with glowing eyes(and awesomeness) and most of the times end up undecided which ones to buy because of the sheer quality and variety they offer here.having pelikan, parker, lamy and Sheaffer in my collection now but every such visits just makes me realize that I still have much more to go.this always reminds me of my childhood where chocolates and toys used to have the same effect.you grow up and many times forget to enjoy such things in life and I feel that having an hobby always keeps this habit floating.

patience really helps..

Over years i have found out[by experience] that what ever situation ur in a little bit more patience at that very moment makes a lot of difference....like when you are constantly getting irritated while studying by others[mom especially] or when confronting an irritated child[due to sickness] and its parents or in obg labour rooms where the ever pouring admission [atleast 25-40 new in a 12 hr shift totaling around 60] makes u loose ur cool and frequently usually end up shouting at them.
At the start of my internship last yr i had made a decision..never frustrate out on an ailing patient's kins,a child's parents[from my personal experience] and on a pregnant lady having labour pains [which is equivalent to an amputated finger].Looking back at it now makes me really contended and happy that atleast somewhere i was right for a moment and treated the people the way they deserve.

p.s-
one of my close friends still regrets for shouting at those innocent pregnant ladies.
i loose my cool when it comes to incompetent nurses and ward boys.
saw legend of bagger vance yesterday....nice entertaining watch...[starring Matt damon and Will smith]

just few updates...[am alive]

with aiims exam nearby [this sunday] i shd be totally into books now which unfortunately am not [regret about this every minute]...sometimes i totally loose motivation [also the opposite] and end up watching movies, browsing etc...[almost 31/2 movies in 4 days]

this summer heat is really making me addicted to ice-creams...almost every alternate day i eat one and luckily havent fallen sick yet.[really miss those lollies which i used to have during my school days]

watched Talladega nights yesterday...with Will Ferrell in it as a driver who grows up becoming a driver.Thoroughly enjoyed it [being his fan] with its silly humor and good storyline.

More i read psychiatry the more i think am having hypochondriasis[especially bipolar disorder]....may be am too much into the subj and some self evaluation.

finally have got all my graduation snaps..totally love them and will always cherish that day.Only regret is that i havent taken any snap together with my best friend [since ukg we are together].We were so involved during that event that neither of us realized wht we were missing.

p.s-

remember this classic song of Baba sehgal "dil dhadake"...totally miss those old rappers [apache indian and jazzy B]

jugni hasdi...

watched Oye lucky lucky oye movie yesterday-a simple,so well narrated script with humor of utmost quality and the still photographs used in the movie was something new to bwood[like in Hwood] which suited the script perfectly.Abhay in the role of a charismatic brilliant thief was just perfect[like his Deol cousins].

p.s-
jugni hasdi is the song in the movie [played in the background]...reminds of those good old punjabi disco songs[mika etc]

success guru[s]..

why so called success gurus [self acclaimed],motivational speakers glorify themselves with others success/work and present themselves as super successful when all they do is just suggest and preach and nothing else?!...

guess its the peoples fault where everyone wants/glorifies success/fame[u can only eat when fed] and lot of loosers [or those who think they r!] who make them look successful.

david vs goliath

CB and 3 idiots row is making a lot of noise in the media these days[rediff comes up with a new masala article every other day] saying CB is betrayed and bollyw people[like always] betrayed a writer artist of his respect/recognition etc....
but one thing is clear-they r legally right but only morally wrong and shd have credited him properly or atleast admit that they have flicked his story from the book[not saying its just 2-5%]...dont know whether he is really hurt[think so] or is just creating all this gimmick for money/fame[which he already has] and moreover unfortunately[for VVChopra] media always suppport a david in war[in india minority rule]...

p.s-

1-my new yr resolutions-eat less,sleep less
2-the DUDE is back...Snoop Dogg "Gangsta Luv" Ft. The Dream
3-joke of the day-A college physics professor was explaining a particularly complicated concept to his class when a pre-med student interrupted him.
"Why do we have to learn this stuff?" one young man blurted out.
"To save lives," the professor responded before continuing the lecture.
A few minutes later the student spoke up again. "So how does physics save lives?"

The professor stared at the student for a long time without saying a word. Finally the professor continued. "Physics saves lives," he said, "because it keeps the idiots out of medical school."
