Leave
On medical leave today...
finally got my wisdom tooth extracted yesterday after one week of severe agony/pain and sleepless nights. It was a simple opd procedure under LA here in PGI oral care centre and except for few painkillers now not on any medication.
Almost the whole morning slept and finally when i got up it was past noon. After a quick bath had a short trip to nearby bazaar for a brunch. Had rajbogh/pasta/vada(vada in Chandigarh!) and returned to room. A day of medical leave over sadly and tomorrow back to my usual 12 hour ICU shift.

cleared mcrp-1
Exam was tough but not tough if u "prepare" and go...sound concepts and revision will save you...
I started from Feb ( for may exam) with 9-4job/night shifts ...
I started from Feb ( for may exam) with 9-4job/night shifts ...
started with basic science and then medicine...
Basic -easterbrook basics book
Medicine -only mrcp book u ever need and Karla (reference)....NHS /nice for reference only
Did subject wise first (like neuro then cardio)..then mixed and did everything together...made notes for difficult ones and read before exam date....

Its your exam and its you who shd prepare and go for it...be confident... I repeat again that exam is not tough if u prepare for it
Key s medicine(each paper 60%med) coz many qns in basics also are medicine based ....
Regarding mcqs-did on examination only... could do only half (around 1.5k out of 3k)....and "revised" what I read.. Its always better to read one set of qns many times then many QN banks once ....
In between opds /duties revised from android app (rapid revision mrcp1)

Am a post MD candidate and now going for DM (super speciality) and doing mrcp is my dream...so if a post MD with 9-4pm job can make it anyone can.
Exam day -6hrs and 2papers -only 2things will help u- preparation and common sense approach which comes from practice /clinics
So guys plan and work hard and smartly too...

Childhood dream..
One of my childhood dreams always was to own a good binoculars and explore the world I see daily. Last week after a lot of pondering and going through the reviews/videos I finally decided to settle for this one -Olympus 10x50mm dps 1 (through flipkart). for a rookie good enough for birds, nature and a bit of astronomy(moon craters). Though 5k was a bit high, felt that with its longer durability with good optics will last longer compared to other less cheaper ones.
