4th week...

yeah its our 4th week in medicine now and already we are overloaded with cases[not that we know everything]..imagine seeing cases like heart failure,lung disease and a hemiplagia [paralysis of both hand and leg on the same side] on the same day back to back from past 2 weeks!...more 2 weeks to go and after that have surgery postings...

case taking experience till now have been pretty good....some of the patients interactions were really weird [and learning] like one lady who had both hands paralysis and till today was cursing her husband for her problem thinking that she contracted it coz of his tb illness...and in another case where the patient was not accepting the fact that he had a lung problem coz of his smoking habits[daily 2-3 beedi packets!!!] and still thinks that he is perfectly alright..and in another case where a patient contracted hiv coz of his risk behavior and when asked about it pretends as if he is an ideal husband [his wife had committed suicide 7 yrs back coz of his alcoholism]

today is workers day [we had to work today also!:( and :)] and also happens to my fathers birthday...wish u all happy workers day and hope u all enjoy ur work [since u spend half of of ur waking hours at work!!!]
