Since we are posted in Bowring this month [medicine] i have to catch 2 buses enroute to reach Shivajinagar...today luckily on the way to market got a seat and when was just enjoying the moment a fat lady [with her bulky luggage] who had just boarded the bus from the back door[ladies are supposed to board the bus only from the front door in bang] came and stood next to me and remarked "let me sit in ur place with my huge luggage"...i was totally taken aback [!!!]and replied dryly "why shd i?..ladies are supposed to sit in the front rows so go there and ask"..for which she didnt bother to reply and i just sat there pretending like nothing happended.....[ would have helped her if she had been more polite or courteous]

@ mithrandir....if u were there in my place u would have done the same thing!!!
Yeah that was rude! She could have had better manners!
Hope other than that and taking 2 buses, I hope you had a great day!
Ne.
complelty agree with what you did
had one incident like this where i got up for an old lady in the train and she fcuking tells me "do i look old to you - what do you think"
@ single...hmm....actually i was annoyed by the way she asked!!!...it was a good day..saw some right heart failure cases:))
@ ceedy...lol....:D
'fat black lady?' ur words are no match for your argument...must to shallow my understanding of you.
This reminds me..
In Pune PMT buses, left side is meant for ladies and right for men. It has twice happened that I was sitting on the right side, and men (yes MEN) asked me to get up saying, ladies should be sitting in the left hand side. The left side seats was already full! And I obliged on both occasions (some days am too tired to argue). In one of them I even said 'it is sad that you dont have enough energy to stand. Am happy I do' And the man just stared back at me!
Oh, how I miss Mumbai, the buses and the people.
I follow one rule if someone asks me to forsake my seat: I don't offer place to anyone unless I am sure I am strong/fresh/whatever enough to stand through the journey. God helps those who help themselves na ;-)
@ ghost....sorry didnt get u...to be frank have sacrificed my place many times for older people but in this case wasnt willing to do so [her attitude!]
@ swati...whole side for one gender!!!....that sounds like fun:D..."it is sad that you dont have enough energy to stand. Am happy I do"..!..lol..:)... guess everyone is like that!!!
I dint like your remark about her.
I agree with GP.
@ cindrealla...was just being honest here!!!!
yeh honest my ass, u can curse all you want man, but calling someone 'fat black lady'? wtf? that shows hatred in ur blood, not simply for this one incident.

but u should have helped her mate. after all, she needed the seat while we, youngsters, can either hang out of the door or have a better look at the girls in the front of the bus.
