do you think its a monopoly deal with drug companies?
i have been doing cognitive debriefings for quite a number of years now for mental disease, etc, and I know how the big pharma's push the medicines, and they do it through any means possible.

there is no Govt supply of haloperidol and definitely no methylphenidate
and i agree with Prats above; a little bit of discretion while posting such possibly sensitive info on the net

Ohh is it really? risperidone is the common drug for schizophrenia here.(as far as I know, nyway :P) But not sure abt the others.
Hmmm...my professor told us that here in Russia its the drug companies that dictate what drug a doctor may or may not prescribe. Its not in the hands of the individual practitioner.
Guess the same happens in India!!

@ vyazz..more than dictating its the gain u get from these companies which makes them prescribe it often!!
Ha ha ha, good you notice! It means the med reps are doing a good job with the doctors in endorsing their products!
Anyway, I hope they are not too expensive for patients...and more than anything, hope they work!
@ mariposa...med rep here don't have a say when it comes it prescribing drugs to public!!...yeah it works!!:)
