6 commandments!

finally our final year started today which is regarded as the toughest part in whole mbbs, so have decided to make some resolutions regarding the same!....they are

1)play less work more!
2)not to come online during weekdays![like gmail.orkut]
3)no movies or playing console during weekdays!
4)not to sleep before 12am.:)
5)no smsing my friends during weekdays![hope so]
6)finally the toughest part, start jogging again[really not sure about this]

What is the anatomy of.....?

"What is the anatomy of.....?"...well this is the stock question we [UGs] are usually asked in the beginning of any postings and today was no different !...Our final year postings commenced today with ORTHOPEDICS.[totally 4 postings will be there of 6 weeks each except orthopedics which is of 4 weeks].Professors usually think that ugs are good in anatomy[rather should be] although we had given our anat exam long back[1st year] and by the time we come to final year we would have forgotten almost everything[except few major things].Classes were taken in the wards(totally we are 5 in our unit) by a assistant prof who showed us some pretty bad shoulder fracture cases[including a case of whole upper limb paralysis].It ended at 11.Over all it was quite good[not bad also].

last day!

today was the last day of our 3rd phase holidays:(..feeling slightly depressed now[don't know the exact reason]..my day today was good,got up little late,then watched dr house 2 episodes[a must watch for all the medical students] and the island movie[a action flick].Should have watched todays ind vs aust match[u see we cant trust India these days:)]...to sum it all up my holidays were fine with movies,sleep and xbox!!.....zzzz............

At various instances in the movie he[Denzel] tries to convey the following message to his students[the debaters]....in fact this is the best part of the movie!

Denzel:"Who is the judge?"

His debators in Unison: "God is the judge."

Denzel:"Why is God the judge?"

Debators:"Because God decides who's right and wrong, not my opponent."

Denzel:" Who is your opponent?"

Debators: "My opponent does not exist."

CL

finally got something to write about in my blog ....really enjoyed playing fifa 2006 today[ 3hours of non stop action!].Now Currently playing Champions league(CL) mode[ 2 groups of 8 teams each out of which only 4 will qualify for Sfinals] and my team is AC Milan.
First round was pretty tough which ended in myself being in 6th position[out of 8].Second round was also tough with good competition from Chelsea and Real Madrid.It finally ended with Milan defeating group leaders Chelsea 3-2[mouth watering clash] which propelled them to the 2nd position in the table just behind Chelsea (due to goal difference) and thus qualified for the semis where we meet Fiorentina !!!.....shall continue it tomorrow!

My all time favourite movie!

we have still 3 more days for the our final year to begin[:(].....so trying to enjoy as much as i can.
My routine today was as follows
morning-saw prison break serial.
afternoon-slept till 2pm then watched Micheal Clayton
evening-went out [that too alone,try it once!] and had snacks
night -played fifa 2006[still havent got bored of it] till 12pm ,then came online

Who is a pessimist?

There was a hunter who bought an amazing bird dog.This one of a kind dog could walk on the water.The hunter was looking forward to show off his new acquisition to his friends.He invited a friend to go duck hunting.After some time,they shot a few ducks and the man ordered his dog to fetch the birds.All day long,whenever there were birds to be fetched, the dog ran on water to retrieve the birds.The owner was expecting his friend to comment or compliment him about his amazing dog,but never got one.As they were returning home,he asked his friend if he had noticed anything unusual about his dog.The friend replied,"Yes,in fact,i did notice something unusual.Your dog cant swim.".......

@home

finally at home after 2 days,really enjoyed at my cousins place[its good to be away from home for some time].Whole day was just busy following those IPL auctioning which threw up many big surprises [Pointing , and I Sharma].On the papers Kolkata team looks the best[also the Hyderabad team],lets see what happens!.Reached home in the evening talked to everyone ,had my dinner and watched NEW tamil movie.Its watchable for only 2 reasons , SIMRAN and AR Rehmans music. ok then will sleep now....zzzz.......

Jacaranda

Jacaranda may be the name of a flowering plant but its also the name of the block in Brigade Millenium situated in Jp nagar where my aunt[Doddamma] stays whom i visited today for the first time[along with my cousin Ashray],was really impressed with the block made of 3 and 4 bedroom apartments.It also contains a separate club with basketball and tennis courts.My day today was pretty good:),have come to my cousins place in Jp nagar[home away from home].From morning except talking rubbish and playing PSP here havent done anything worthy of mentioning here.

feeling very sleepy right now...dont know why,may be because of boredom.Just finding new ways to kill time.Saw The Host movie today,pretty ok movie.Yesterday my day was pretty horrible,except labour pain had all kinds of pain[toothache,earache,throat pain and slight abdomen pain]..may start on antibiotics from tomorrow.

8 more days to go..........

yippe!.....our holidays were extended today until 25th[was suppose to start from 18th]....what a relief man!!!!!:)....never felt so happy in the recent past!.....my day today was quite good![in fact great!]....had gone to my friends house ..totally there were 3 of them including myself...watched WELCOME movie, had lunch there itself and chatted for a while[about everything under this sun]:).......then came home at 5pm..met my school buddy........he just left now and i came ol[online]....not feeling well..have little nasal congestion and earache[since yesterday] so will hit the bed little early today[hope so]..........

books!.......

books......have always appreciated them whether they are fition or nonfiction.....the ones which have influenced me over years are

1)"how to stop worrying and start living" by Dale Carnegie...dont think this is as any other HR books which is full of philosophy...this book really gives you some practical tips about worrying..my favourite one is "life is too small to worry about small things"......

2)"How to win friends" by the same author...this is for those idiots who doesnt know a thing about relations and how to talk to people...this book explains the real nature of a persons conversation and how to go about it!...my favourite one is "when talking to people remember they are not creatures of intelligence[as many of them think] but creatures of emotion"

3)"the monk who sold his ferrari" by Robin Sharma...this book is one of the best by RS.....one of the few books which is able to convey its message to the reader in a sinple way....gives somke usefull tips about how to handle life and stres.....my favourite one is "Success is a journey not a destination"..........

2nd day

its 2nd day of my holidays and i havent done anything exciting yet:).......my today was pretty ok[in fact boring]..had gone to my nephews thread ceremony came back, slept and now writing in my blog.....yesterday saw Alvin and chipmunks movie...movie is really good especially the characters[chipmunks].....i have always observed that durung holidys we [atleast me] loosa interest in things which we usually like to do during our working days like sleeping....dont know the exact reason ..may be its because our mind will be free[during holidays]...[remember that which is easily available is less attractive] ....as some one rightly said "if u want to know to the meaning of happiness ask a businessman"..............

2 here refers to 2 street dogs on the road in front of my house....they are staying here on this road for quite a long time[3-4 years]. being regularly fed by our neighbour.....and are quite useful during night as watch dogs[didnt get any other term to describe]!..now from past one month another 2 dogs[+2] have joined them[ younger]...and moreover actually dont like the other 2[elder ones] creating quite a rivalry among them selves.....hope all these 4 dogs are not rabid!!!![especially after reading so much abt rabies in psm]

at last!

at last our 3rd year[rather phase] exams got over today.......it was okk[did well in patches].....3 days back was thinking tht i would be really happy after my exams but now nothing like tht is happening....dont know why....perhaps some one rightly said "u cant pursue happiness"[unlike pursuit of happiness movie].....then no real plans for holidays...just watch movies,play xbox or sleep[hope so]........past few days had come across some really good blogs..:)...hope will continue reading them........ as far as my blogging goes really didnt know what to write all these days........

RATATOUILLE-this is one of the best animation movies i have ever seen....its abt a rat which wants to become a cook...best thing was the climax!










300-good action movie with lots of graphics and

TZP-one of the few movies which did really well at the box office [and also with the critics] with
much publicity...good directorial debut by A.K!

Gone baby gone-very good but unfortunately didnt do well in box office...its abt a kidnapping case of a 4 year old child...very well directed and good acting.

APNE-this movie is abt a father[Dharmendra] who being an olympic champion wants to coach his son for the same.....actaully its inspired by Stallon"s ROCKY movie.....

i now pronounce you CHUCK and LARRY-this is a comedy movie abt 2 close friends who act like gay partners in order to gain some insurance .....the way movie is moves from starting till the end is really good....total timepass!!!!!!

The BOURNE ULTIMATUM-this is an action movie[actually more of a thriller type]...abt an assassin...watch it only if u have seen the first 2 parts[prequels]....

SAW 4-4 installment in the saw series...continuation of saw 3...more violent with good suspence....actually its better than 3 but not as good as 1 and 2............











SIVAJI-this ranjnikanth movie directed my Shankar is real fun....perfect mixture of good story,comedy,action and music!

race vs time!

at last our pracs exam dates were announced yesterday......after seeing those dates had hoped that i will start studying seriously...but like tht has happened till now......today made some rough timetable abt how to go abt my studies for pracs..hope will follow tht.........these prac exams have become quite boring coz they are scheduled after our theory exams so by the time we complete theory exams we would have lost interest in our studies!!!!!!..ok bye for now.....
